The Sena OUTSTAR 2 is an open-face motorcycle helmet with an integrated communication system, designed to provide comfort, safety and connectivity for everyday riding. An evolution of the previous OUTSTAR S, it combines a practical design with advanced technology, making it an ideal choice for scooter, moped and motorcycle riders in urban environments and on roads beyond the city.
Thanks to Mesh Intercom 3.0 and Wave Intercom™ technologies, OUTSTAR 2 allows riders to communicate easily with others without having to install an external intercom. The ABS shell, ECE 22.06 certification and integrated audio system complete a helmet designed to make every journey more convenient and reliable.
The Mesh Intercom 3.0 system enables communication with other compatible riders at distances of up to 1.2 km (0.8 miles) in open terrain. The technology offers two communication modes, adapting to the needs of riders travelling together or in groups.
Open Mesh mode provides 6 communication channels with an unlimited number of participants, while Group Mesh allows riders to create private groups of up to 24 participants.
OUTSTAR 2 also features Wave Intercom™, which uses cellular networks to communicate with an unlimited number of participants, including riders who do not use Sena devices. The dedicated Mesh button is positioned for easy access while riding.
Second-generation HD speakers deliver clear, detailed sound, enhancing the listening experience during conversations and music playback. Advanced Noise Control™ technology helps reduce unwanted noise picked up by the microphone, providing clearer communication while riding.
Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity completes the integrated communication system, making OUTSTAR 2 a practical and technologically advanced helmet for everyday use.
The Sena OUTSTAR 2 features a lightweight ABS shell designed to provide impact resistance and comfort during extended use. ECE 22.06 certification ensures compliance with the safety requirements established by European regulations.
The full-length visor provides a wide field of vision and extended face protection against wind and debris. The integrated sun visor allows riders to quickly adapt to changing light conditions without necessarily needing sunglasses.
The adjustable chin strap features a quick-release buckle designed for easy operation even when wearing gloves, simplifying helmet fastening and removal.
OUTSTAR 2 offers up to 20 hours of talk time, allowing riders to enjoy long journeys without frequently recharging the communication system. Charging takes approximately 2.5 hours via USB-C connection.
The Auto On/Off function automatically manages device activation and deep sleep mode, helping preserve battery power when the helmet is not in use.
The system also supports direct power operation without simultaneously charging the battery, a feature designed to help prevent overheating and extend battery lifespan.
Thanks to Over-the-Air (OTA) update support, OUTSTAR 2 firmware can be updated directly through the Sena Motorcycles app, eliminating the need for computer-based device management software.
Available for iOS and Android devices, the app also allows users to configure communication system settings and manage the helmet's main features.
